The previous comments regarding “outdated” are, in my opinion, misguided since the focus of this book is more on the fundamentals and foundation of RF circuit design which HAS NOT changed since the first edition of the book was written. Reading it is like a class in RF design with explained, detailed exercises, leaving nothing to guess.

It has derivations for some of the key equations, but for the most part just presents equations. While some of the circuits described are presented in a cook-book fashion, there are lots of details about circcuit and why they work.

This book is great for understanding filters, matching, and low power amplifiers. It’s not as great for understanding mixers, high power amplifiers, and other topics.
